Design and Analysis of Indoor Climate

The course provides students with the competences needed to design indoor climate and to plan, carry out, and evaluate measurements, calculations, and observations of indoor climate, and on that basis propose indoor climate improvements. The course deals with the indoor climate in residential buildings, office buildings, institutional buildings, etc. After completing the course, students are able to, among other things:

  • give an account of the impact of thermal conditions, air quality, sound, and light on human comfort, health, and productivity
  • apply digital tools for simulation and design of ventilation and air quality.
