The section currently offers the PhD course Numerical Methods for Building Energy Technology.
The objective of the course is to acquire the competences to, among other things:
- formulate calculation tasks within building energy technology regarding temperature conditions, heat flow, and moisture conditions, and solve them using numerical calculation methods
- apply common numerical calculation methods and prepare IT programs in this connection.
After completing the PhD course, you are able to, among other things:
- account for and, using own programs, apply difference and control volume methods in connection with instationary and multidimensional problems
- account for typical sources of error in numerical calculation methods.
