Advanced air distribution and cleaning

The research area develops ventilation methods, which are essential for health, comfort and the performance of occupants in work spaces. It is a recognized method of reducing the risk of airborne cross-infection. The team develops, studies and implements novel ventilation methods in practice based on advanced air distribution in occupied zones of rooms as well as close to occupants (workstations in offices, bed in healthcare facilities, seats in theaters and vehicles, etc.).

At the moment the researchers are developing the next generation of “intelligent” methods based on sensing body physiological signals. The purpose is to generate optimal micro-environment close to the human body. So far huge energy savings have been achieved with the developed methods in addition to the results within health and indoor climate.
